Enrolling with Cord Blood Bank is simple.

Follow the below five steps:

1. Complete Enrollment Forms

It's best to complete the enrollment process well in advance of your due date. Having the collection kit early in the pregnancy can lower your anxiety; in case of early delivery, you’ll be prepared with the kit. We support the potentially life-saving choice you’re making to bank umbilical cord blood stem cells, and will do anything in our power to make the process as simple and efficient as possible.

2. Return Forms

Mail or fax us the completed Medical History Form and Payment Information Form for the required Enrollment Fee*. We accept major credit and debit cards and your enrollment fee may also be paid by check.

*A $250 non-refundable deposit will be charged at the time of enrollment. The balance will be charged upon receipt of cord blood. Fees apply to single-birth, U.S. customers only. Prices are subject to change.

3. Receive the UCBB Collection Kit & Collection Instructions

Following your enrollment, we’ll send you a collection kit with everything you need for the hospital. It includes the cord blood collection bag and the necessary equipment to collect blood during a vaginal or a caesarean birth. You’ll want to pack it with the other things you’re taking to the hospital. You’ll also want to let your doctor or midwife know at your next pre-natal visit that you plan to bank your baby's cord blood.

4. Call the Courier and Send us Your Baby's Sample

Once your baby is born and your medical team collects the cord blood, place a call to your selected Courier. Your baby’s sample will be picked up promptly and delivered overnight to our world headquarters, where it will be processed, tested and stored.

5. Receive Results from Umbilical World Blood Bank.

As soon as we have received your sample, we will call you to confirm that we have it and will begin processing it immediately. After processing, a written lab report is sent to your home, detailing the number of stem cells preserved and informing you that your baby’s cord blood is stored securely in our cryogenic storage facility. Then you can enjoy your baby with the knowledge that the cord blood is available to you at any time in the future, should you need it.
